1. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
My name is Elizabeth and I have a full time job in corporate real estate. My idea of a chill-out weekend is sitting at my crafting table with a cup of coffee, surrounded by all my beads and weaving wonderful creations in my head. When I’m not daydreaming, I also enjoy shopping, movies, a good book and quality time with my hubby.
2. How did you come up with your name, LeaEstella?
I have been using LeaEstella for my previous blogshops for the longest time. I really love the sound of the two names, “Lea” and “Estella”. Put them together and you get such a dreamy, whimsical effect.
3. What got you into crafting?
Three years ago, I quit my job to go to Australia to be with my hubby (then boyfriend). Being someone who needed to be constantly occupied, I grew restless with the amount of time I had on my hands. That spurred me to pick up jewellery making which was something I had always wanted to try. It was a struggle at first as I didn’t have any professional help (other than Youtube) but practice makes perfect! I crafted every single day and with loads of ideas in my head, LeaEstella was born.
4. What do you make and why do you make them?
I make accessories mostly; earrings, necklaces, bracelets and even bookmarks. I absolutely love the idea of mismatched earrings! Yet at the same time, my mismatched pieces have some kind of similarity – either in colours, theme or charms used. I also like to use florals, pearls and all things pretty and feminine. My jewellery is inspired by places I visit, people I meet, books I read, movies I watch and music I listen to – basically everything. I craft regularly to satisfy my creative soul, otherwise I get withdrawal symptoms – it is an addiction!
5. Do you have a favorite item that you created? Is it sold or still available for purchase?
Favourite item
My all time favourite piece is the hot air balloon necklace inspired by Pixars UP. I love that movie and will always bawl buckets everytime I watch it. The necklace pendant is a hot-air balloon carrying a little house. I have different versions of the necklace available for sale in my shop.
6. Are you a full time artist or crafter? If not would you like to be?
I would love to be a full time crafter but for now, I would have to be contented with being a weekend one.
7. Do you have any favorite blogs or resources that you can share to our readers?
I don’t have any blogs/ resources, though I would highly recommend browsing through Etsy. It is an amazing platform where you can find so many talented crafters and beautiful handmade items. I myself have bought so many unique handcrafted items from Etsy.
8. Do you have any discount codes or promotions that you can offer our readers?
Yes! I have an ongoing Free shipping discount for purchases of two or more items at my Etsy shop. Discount code:  BUY2FREESHIP
